What a website actually costs
A $500 site, a $5,000 site and a $50,000 site are three different products with three different jobs. Here’s what’s inside each price.
Every quote you get for a website is answering a different question. The price only makes sense once you know which one.
The three products
A template site, a designed site and a built system share a word and almost nothing else.
- Template: a theme, your logo, your copy
- Designed: a layout made for your business
- System: design, content, integrations and the team that runs it
The cheapest site is the one that pays for itself first.
Ask every bidder what happens in month two.
Where the money goes
Four line items account for most of the difference: strategy, content, integrations and support.
- Website cost
- Small business
